There have been a couple of changes to our Prayer Team here at Byron United Church.
As of April 2025, the Prayer Team is disbanding; however, this does not mean that they are not praying anymore. Instead, they are now simply offering Prayer Gatherings. This is how it will work: Each Tuesday at 11:00 AM, everyone is invited to attend our weekly prayer gathering in the Family Room. If you have prayer needs, please come and allow others to pray for and with you.
Whether you become a regular or have a particular need and just want to come on one Tuesday, you are welcome to gather with us.
We thank the Prayer Team members for their very faithful service and their ongoing prayer ministry on behalf of the entire church family over the years.
If you have a prayer request, please phone or e-mail the church office: 519-471-1250 or church@byronunited.ca. When you contact us with a prayer request, we will ask you how broadly you would like it shared. This includes if you would like your prayer request shared with 1) Home Pray-ers only, or 2) at Tuesday Prayer Gatherings, or 3) in BUC Wheat, our weekly newsletter.
Jesus taught his disciples to pray with very simple, ordinary words:
"Our Father in heaven. Holy is your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today the bread we need for today. And forgive us our sins as we forgive people who sin against us. And don't let us be tempted, but save us from evil. For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen!"
When you are toubled, remember Jesus says to us...
"Come to Me, all of you who labour and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."
When you are afraid...
"Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with My strong right hand of righteousness."
When you need forgiveness...
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
